Mission Statement
Big Green Purse encourages women to use their consumer clout to
protect the planet. We focus specifically on products and
services that have submitted to life cycle analysis and third
party verification of their environmental claims. Because women
spend eighty-five cents of every dollar, we understand the power
women have to pull manufacturing in a greener, cleaner
direction.

What are the organization’s goals for
this year?
1. Add 10-20,000 women to those who have already
joined the One in a Million campaign, an initiative to help
women shift $1,000 of their annual household budget to products
and services that benefit the environment
2. Reach more corporate audiences with information to improve
the marketing of certified green products and services to women
3. Broaden the reach of Big Green Purse through increased media
attention, personal appearances, and Internet outreach
