Marian the librarian suspects hes a con man, but she begins to trust him after seeing how hes given confidence to her shy younger brother. Soon, this Music Man has transformed the entire town, not only turning the bickering school board into a barbershop quartet, but himself into an honest man.

A Festival benefit with food, wine, music and a silent auction will take place on Saturday, June 30th, from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., and a Flamenco After Party at Thirsty Bear Brewing Company will celebrate the end of the successful 34th Annual Festival season on July 1.

The Walking Distance Dance Festival - SF, is a three-day, fringe-style event involving a dozen dance artists including ODC/Dance, guest artist Maya Dance Theatre from Singapore in its North American debut, past and present ODC Theater artists in residence, as well as SCUBA guest artists from Minneapolis, Seattle, and Philadelphia. The full line-up includes LEVYdance, inkBoat, KUNST- STOFF, RAWdance, Monique Jenkinson aka Fauxnique, Catherine Galasso, Angharad Davies, Alice Gosti, Gabrielle Revlock, ODC/Dance, Maya Dance, plus a 2013 ODC Theater Resident Artist TBA. The Festival presents a total of 16 performances, activating all of the performance spaces on ODC's two-building campus.

The Bay Area Showcase Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International and recent winners of the Pacific Shores Regional Chorus Competition (joined by several singers from other choruses in our region), along with 2nd Place quartet medalists, Canzonet Quartet, will compete in the first ever Barbershop event at the World Choir Games. The World Choir Games is the worlds biggest international choral competition featuring the Olympic idea that taking part is the highest honor. Also representing the Bay Area is the award winning Cantabella Children's Chorus. All three groups will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, this July to take part in 7th World Choir Games.
Come cheer on these 3 local Bay Area participants, as we give our audience a preview of our World Choir Games performances.
