This "walk and talk" through Gamble Garden will focus on the identification of shade loving plants, both woody and herbaceous. Their cultural requirements, nomenclature, structure, visual characteristics, aroma, texture, and uses in garden design will be covered in detail. This class will be held outside in Gamble's gardens and is limited to 15. Frank is a gardener, a horticultural educator, and a pioneer in the use of organic and sustainable gardening methods. He is the owner of The Village Gardener, past president and founder of the local chapter of The California Landscape Contractors Association, and on the faculty of the Ornamental Horticultural Program at Foothill College.
